CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS

Civil Service examinations are either open to the general public or limited, if indicated, to a promotional field of employees in Rockland County government or to employees in one or more of the local municipal jurisdictions in Rockland County.  If you are interested in taking an examination, click on the examination title and you will find the examination announcement that provides you with information specific to that examination.

 It is important to refer to the list periodically for updates and changes.  In order to take a civil service examination, you must complete a Rockland County Employment and Civil Service Examination Application (available for download on this website) and submit within the announced filing period.  Please refer to the individual examination announcements  regarding minimum qualifications and last filing dates.  The announcements will be removed after the last filing date.
