Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
Program is sponsored cooperatively by the Rockland County Department of Health and the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority. The HHW facility is located at the Fire Training Center in Pomona.  It is open to all residents and select small businesses for drop-off of household hazardous waste during scheduled collection events and drop-off days.
 

Facility Now Open Weekdays For Drop-Off Of Hazardous Waste From Residents!

The Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located in Pomona, is now open for year round weekday drop-off of hazardous materials. The facility will be open Monday through Friday from 8am – 1pm for all residents of Rockland County. Small businesses must make an appointment to drop-off materials. The service is fast, friendly, and FREE for residents of Rockland County!

Directions to the Drop-Off Facility:

Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway to exit 12, go South on Route 45, turn right onto Pomona Road, make first right onto Fireman’s Memorial Drive. Make a left into the Fire Training Center. The facility is located inside the Fire Training Center on the right hand side.
